Sean Devlin – Clinical Director, Sports Rehabilitator

Sean graduated from the University of Bolton in 2008 with a Bsc Honours Degree in Sports Rehabilitation and is a qualified Rock Tape level 1 and Pilates level 2 specialist. He is a GSR member of the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT) and also works as the head rehabilitator at Glossop RUFC and for Impact Sports Rehabilitation.

Sean has gained experience working with Bolton Wanderers FC. Alongside this he has experience working with Sports Rehabilitators and Physiotherapists at P.H.I.T, and Occupational therapists at Bupa. Sean has also worked with a number of sports teams such as Turton FC, Abbey Hey FC, Salford FC.

Qualifying as a Rock Tape specialist means Sean is able to reduce patient’s symptoms, improve postural control issues and allow for an increase in movement. Sean is also qualified to teach Pilates, undertaking his training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). His Sports Rehabilitation and injury prevention knowledge help to ensure that all classes are taught to the highest level and can improve posture and muscle tone, reduce stress.

From studying and training as a Sports Rehabilitator Sean has gained the knowledge and experience to treat injuries from the upper and lower limb, to the neck, mid and lower back and can offer expertise improving symptoms from postural dysfunctions, muscle weakness and incorrect movement patterns. Sean has great experience in treating a wide variety of injuries and individuals, from minor to major injuries and in both the General public and elite sportspeople.

Sean has been involved in playing football from a very early age and up to recently has been playing semi-professional football.  He is also widely involved with martial arts and practices in a number of disciplines, so is no stranger to injuries himself.
