Sarah Thrussell – Sports Rehabilitator

I graduated from the University of Hull in 2010 with a BSc (hons) degree in Sports Rehabilitation. Since graduating I have been working within a sports injury clinic over in Hull and as a Sports Rehabilitator with Hull RUFC. I am also a sports coach teaching a variety of sports in a school in Leeds. Due to the different fields of my work I have experience in treating a wide variety of injuries from acute rugby injuries to chronic lifestyle injuries (e.g. lower back pain).

While studying at university I had many different placements including Huddersfield Town academy, Hull RUFC, Hansford and Crocker sports injury clinic, The Pain Management clinic and Peter Bennet physiotherapy. All these placements allowed me to develop my own personal style by combining what I saw on placement with what I was taught at University which I feel has benefitted me as a Sports Rehabilitator.

My friends would describe me as a people person and I love my job as I’m able to help people recover from injury and get back to living their lives. In my spare time I enjoy horse riding,
