Paula graduated from Rey Juan Carlos University with a degree in Fisioterapia in 2016. Throughout her time at university, Paula gained experience working with various clinics, health centres, nursing home, hospitals and sports clubs around Madrid, such as; FREMAP, Panaderas Health Centre, SAR cuidad de Mostoles, Mostoles Hospital and AEFIS. Also, she continued to gain experience by volunteering to do sporting events in and around Madrid. From studying and training as a Physiotherapist, Paula has gained the knowledge and experience to treat sport, trauma, neurological, geriatric, paediatric, respiratory and chronic injuries. Since graduating, Paula has worked with dancers in her dance company in Madrid and obtained a post qualification clinical placement with neurological patients in MNC in Manchester.
Paula loves learning and is always looking for additional courses to expand her skill set. She has post grad certifications in BBTA Introduction to the Bobath Concept, Pilates floor course and Basic life support and is a registered member of the HCPC; Moreover, she is also wishing to pursue a Masters degree in physiotherapy whilst based in Manchester and continue to gain knowledge and experience to provide more variety of techniques in her treatments.
Paula has danced since the age of 7 where she practiced classical and Spanish dance. In 2014, she had the chance of being a part of a dance company. She has done several performances around Madrid. Her passion for dancing along with her great satisfaction from helping people with disabilities or injures was what made her choose her degree. In addition to dancing, in her spare time Paula loves to travel and seek new experiences. She moved to England to allow her the chance to grow personally and professionally.
Paula has recently been accepted as a full HCPC member.
