Jennie Lloyd- Owner

Jennie owns both Anatomy Manchester and its second branch in Chester.  She is one of our senior therapists due to her wealth of experience and knowledge in the field of bio-mechanics, physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation.

Jennie started her own business in 2000, offering Swedish, Stress Relief, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy and Sports massages to clients in the comfort of their own home. Over the thirteen years she has furthered her qualifications by taking a Sports Rehabilitation Degree from Salford University, along with further massage courses and post graduate learning.

Jennie was trained by Clifton Bradley from Sub4, in biomechanics and the fitting and supply of orthotics.  As a runner herself, Jennie understands the issues they face and has an amazing ability to look at different running techniques and help with improvements in their efficiency.  Through spending time at Sports Dimensions in London she understands about different gait patterns and can offered help and advice from the ultimate beginner to the highly elite!

Jennie has furthered her training by attending many postgraduate courses.  These include courses on the shoulder, hips and sacroiliac joint and lower back to mention a few.  She is also a qualified Thai masseuse, where she took her exams at the Traditional school of Thai Massage, holds a VTCT qualification in articular ear therapy, more commonly known as Hopi ear candles, and Hot Stones Massage.

Jennie has also take a post graduate course on Pregnancy massage and therapy and is highly qualified to help with those aches and pains specifically associated with this time.  Recently Jennie has qualified in kinesiology and rock taping, to help with both pain relief and sports performance.

Her client list is already extensive and includes the Kings of Leon, Jessica Simpson, players from Salford Reds Rugby League Club, Salford Athletic Club and Ford Halewood Athletic Club as well as Sale Harriers Athletic Club. She has also worked as a Sports Rehabilitator at Oldham Athletic Football Club and Warrington Wizards Rugby League Club.

She now receives referred clients from sports coaches and clubs and also now treats friends of previous clients –  the best recommendation possible!
