I graduated in January 2011 from Manchester Metropolitan University with an MSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, a degree which has laid the foundation for assessing, diagnosing, treating and preventing injuries. Prior to this I graduated in 2007 from St. Mary’s University College, Twickenham with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science providing me with vital information on how the body works and responds to exercise aiding my ability to design appropriate rehabilitation programmes. I am registered with the Health Professions Council and am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
To date I have gained experience treating many musculoskeletal and neurological conditions through working within the NHS and private practice as well as working with Manchester United’s Football Academy, England’s Amputee Football Team and professional, semi-professional and recreational athletes including athletes from squash, football, gaelic football, basketball, rugby, athletics, MMA and endurance events.
With coming from an extensive sporting background and having competed in football, gaelic football, basketball and cross country running I understand first-hand the importance of quick and effective rehabilitation. This background allows me to empathise with everyone I treat as well as understand the psychological implications of their injuries in addition to the physiological components.
