Charlotte Wilson – Sports Therapist and Holistic therapist

Charlotte graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2009 with a BSc Honours degree in Sports Therapy and have since built up a wide range of additional skills and qualifications in the sports/therapy industry.

During my time at University I was the designated Sports Therapist for the Men’s Rugby League first team and I also helped run the University Sports Injury Clinic where we diagnosed and treated a range of injuries using various techniques including mobs, massage, etc. In my free evenings I volunteered at Sale RUFC, working alongside the head physiotherapist in treating injured players and performing pre and post training massages.

Since leaving university I have developed my skills and knowledge further by completing additional qualifications and courses such as Kinesiology Taping, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Swedish massage and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. I gained excellent experience working in France for Nu Beginnings as the on-site Massage Therapist where I worked alongside personal trainers, the head chef and other therapists to provide a first class service to our clients. We were able to provide bespoke fitness and rehabilitation programmes for our guests by working as a team and using our expertise in our respective fields.
Over the last 2 years I have worked with Liverpool Ladies FC alongside the senior physiotherapist. I gained excellent experience in treating and helping to rehabilitate elite female athletes in a professional environment. I attended training sessions and games throughout 2 extremely successful seasons and performed both pre and post training/game treatment and massages. I learned some invaluable techniques for injury rehabilitation and built up and excellent relationship with the players and staff at the club.

In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, watching rugby league and walking my very energetic Border Collie Alfie! I represented England in Judo when I was younger and also completed in athletics to a good standard.
I am passionate about finding the root cause of problems and I take great pride in helping to bring both top level athletes and members of the public back to full fitness so they can achieve their full potential. I believe that great quality treatment and injury prevention can really help people realise their potential and I love being part of a team that can provide this.
